Best places to watch 4th of July fireworks in and near Phoenix AZWhile several venues in the Greater Phoenix area have not yet confirmed Independence Day celebrations this year due to the lingering effects of the pandemic, you can still enjoy a fireworks show.

The four places below have confirmed Fourth of July celebrations and are committed to making the occasion fun for the whole family.

Mesa, AZ • Arizona Celebration of Freedom

If you don’t mind your 4th of July festivities starting a day early, make the drive to Fiesta Mall in Mesa. This year, Mesa is prioritizing social distancing measures for the annual Arizona Celebration of Freedom. KOOL FM 94.5 will provide the pre-show and music over radio waves to minimize crowds at the venue.

The Fiesta Mall parking lot is scheduled to open at 7 p.m.; fireworks will commence at 9 p.m. and last for about 30 minutes. There won’t be any vendors at the event, so attendees are encouraged to bring their own food, non-alcoholic drinks, and chairs.

Interested? Save the date and don’t head out too late. The mall parking space will only admit around 1,500 cars.

Peoria, AZ • All-American Festival

Visitors to this family-friendly 4th of July festival numbered in the thousands in previous years. This July 4, 2021, the All-American Festival in Peoria is expected to welcome as many as 17,000 people and will be held at the Outdoor Festival at Peoria Sports Complex.

The festival opens to the public at 5 p.m., while the fireworks show is scheduled to start at 9:15 p.m. Finding things to do until the main event won’t be a problem. The festival has a strong lineup of live country and rock music performances. Food and drinks can be purchased at the event area. And you can spend quality time with your family participating in the corn hole tournament or cooling off at several water zones.

Gilbert, AZ • July 4th Celebration

Young families have full access to the park's amenities, including the large playground and a splash pad, which the kids are sure to enjoy. A DJ is in charge of the event’s music from the time the gates open until 7 p.m. Afterwards, audiences can enjoy live music while waiting for the fireworks at 8:45 p.m.

Scottsdale, AZ • Fourth of July Celebration

Marked as the eighth year of 4th of July festivities in Scottsdale, this year’s celebration at the 386-acre WestWorld promises to be the biggest show in the city yet. VIP Barbeque ticket holders get early access to the venue at 5 p.m.; general admission starts at 6:30 p.m. Regardless of when you enter, you’ll be greeted by live music and kid-friendly activities like face painting and a snow slide.
